CLINT DUPLECHIAN,
KYOSHI
Clint DuPlechian, Sensei, grew up
in southwestern Louisiana. As a child, he was always fascinated by
martial-arts movies. He received his first-degree black belt in the fall of 1991.
In 1997 Sensei DuPlechian had the good fortune to attend a tournament
and observe a demonstration of Shorin Ryu karate. He was so taken with
Shorin Ryu that he instantly decided to pursue this style and teach it.
He now trains with Soke Dave Shelton in Soken Do Matsumura Seito. Soke
Shelton promoted Sensei DuPlechian to sixth-degree black belt and
awarded him the title of Shihan. In 2007, Sensei DuPlechian was awarded
the rank of 7th dan as well as the title of Kyoshi.
Sensei DuPlechian balances a career as an health and physical education
